The Silent Arcade: Besalú

The street curves beneath the Romanesque arcades of one of Catalonia's oldest civic buildings, its carved columns and capitals barely visible against the warm glow of the shopfronts. The damp cobblestones return a muted echo of amber lamplight, while the rest of the lane dissolves into darkness. A vertical piece, well suited to entryways, hallways or reading corners where its architectural detail rewards a closer look.

No studio lighting was used: every source of light in the frame already existed on the street the night this was taken. Limited edition of 3, part of the Besalú night series. Fine art print in A1 format; custom sizes available on request.
