The Romanesque apse of Beget's church stands out against the deep blue of dusk, while the bell tower lets the warm glow of its arches, lit from within, escape into the night. Two wrought-iron lanterns flank the stone steps, marking the threshold between the civic and the sacred. There is no artifice in the sky: only the blue hour, captured at its purest instant, before darkness covers everything.
