The composition ascends: the eye enters through the stone in shadow and climbs, step by step, toward the single point of tungsten light in the whole frame. That vertical journey, almost liturgical, owes something to pictorial tenebrism —the way an isolated point of light organizes an entire scene and turns everything around it into dark, almost liquid matter—. It is the most austere piece in the Albarracín series, and also the most rigorous in its geometric construction.
Albarracín series. Museum-quality Giclée print on 100% cotton Hahnemühle Museum Etching paper, 350 gsm. Strictly limited edition of three, individually signed and numbered by hand, accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
