White Silence: Cadaqués

The whitewashed houses of Cadaqués line the sea as they have for generations, glowing against a sky heavy with storm clouds. Not a single figure on the shore — only the village, the still water, and that warm, domestic light spilling from the windows.

Cadaqués has drawn painters and poets for a century for exactly this reason — something in its whiteness, in its irregular geometry against the bay, asks to be photographed slowly, at night, with no one else around.
