Sentinel Tower: Cadaqués

From the other side of the bay, Cadaqués gathers itself against the dark slope of Cap de Creus, and only the bell tower of Santa María breaks the darkness with a warm, ochre light that sets it apart from everything else. The mountain, black and imposing, fills half the frame like a backdrop that makes the village look even smaller and more fragile.

It's a classic view of the bay, but the absence of the moon and a heavy sky turn the bell tower into the only possible protagonist: a stone sentinel watching over the calm water as the rest of the village slowly goes dark.
