Moonrise: Cadaqués

A full moon rises clean above the ridge that shelters Cadaqués, without a single cloud to veil it, its light falling straight onto the illuminated bell tower and onto the water, which returns it doubled in an almost perfect reflection. It's the kind of clear night a night-landscape photographer waits months for.

The whole scene is contained in that vertical axis —moon, tower, reflection— while the rest of the village, lower and more scattered, is left to be photographed in a background of warm lights and dark rooftops.
