Spire in Shadow: Barcelona Cathedral

Between two buildings on a narrow Barcelona street, the spire of Barcelona Cathedral rises like an apparition, lit against a sky of near-black blue. The framing compresses the perspective until the building seems to float between the façades.

It's one of the most vertical images I've made for this series — the entire composition pulls the eye upward, as if the street itself wanted to point toward the sky.
