Ember Sky: Cambrils

A sky of broken clouds burns in oranges and magentas above the marina of Cambrils, the sun low on the horizon and a row of masts cut in silhouette. The water gathers one last red reflection and returns the scene to silence.

It is an image about the light that precedes stillness: that brief margin in which the sky takes over everything and the harbor, with its moored boats, is reduced to a fine dark line at the base of the frame.
