Harbor Moon: Barcelona

A full moon rises over Barcelona's Port Olímpic, just as the sky still holds that deep blue-hour glow. To the right, the twin towers of Mapfre and Hotel Arts mark the skyline of the contemporary city; in the background, Frank Gehry's Peix sculpture emerges among the promenade's lamps like a form suspended in the dusk.

It's one of the few images in the series where three different Barcelonas share the same frame: the sea and its moored boats, the iconic architecture of the nineties, and the night walker still crossing the promenade beneath the moon.
