Nocturne in Stone: The Echoes of Girona

The cobbled descent that runs through this composition leads the eye toward a vanishing point that deliberately loses itself in darkness —not in light—. It is an unusual compositional choice within the series: rather than resolving the visual tension in a luminous focal point, it leaves it open, unresolved. The centuries-old masonry, cold and textured in the foreground, contrasts with that final uncertainty of the frame.
