There is no added fog or post-production diffusion in this image: the contrast between the vastness of the night landscape and the pinpoint warmth of human lighting is exactly as it existed on the ground. Beget, one of the least touristically developed villages in the region, allows for this kind of near-archaeological capture —no artifice, no fill light—, just the architecture as it has been preserved for centuries and the way the night wraps around it.
