Shadows Over the Galligants

The Pont de Galligants crosses the bed of the river of the same name, beside the monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants and the wall of the Barri Vell. The photograph stays true to the night's real light: the lanterns along the bank and the greenish glow the wall's own stone throws back into the background, while the cut shadow of the vegetation traces a pattern over the arch that shifts with every gust of wind. This corner is also known for having served as a location for a globally popular epic fantasy series set in the fictional city of Braavos.
