Calle Vallejo descends from the Plaza de San Esteban, framed by a tall stone wall and the steep gradient that defines this stretch of Segovia's old town. Three lanterns recede into the distance, each dimmer than the last, until they fade against the ochre façade at the end — a composition that recalls the Japanese photographic tradition of silence, that contemplative search for urban solitude which finds its own nocturnal language here in Segovia.
No light has been added, nor the atmosphere altered in post-production: only the lighting already present in the street, as in the alleyways of Albarracín or Girona. Museum-quality Giclée print on 100% cotton Hahnemühle Photo Rag paper, limited edition of three, with certificate of authenticity.
