Storm Over Stone: Segovia Aqueduct
Storm Over Stone: Segovia Aqueduct

Under a sky heavy with storm clouds, the Roman aqueduct of Segovia unfolds arch after arch along the street, its granite blocks fitted together without a single drop of mortar, just as they were raised almost two thousand years ago. A single street lamp lights the foreground, casting a golden reflection across the wet cobblestones, while the stone fades into shadow toward the far end.
I wanted to capture the contrast between the unshakeable solidity of the stone and the restlessness of the sky crowning it that night — two very different ways of measuring time, sharing the same frame.
