Albarracín is known for its color: the earthy pink of its rammed-earth walls and reddish stone, which by day already seems almost warm by nature. This photograph seeks that same warmth under opposite conditions —at night, without sun, with only the glow of the public streetlights— and shows that the stone's tone does not depend on sunlight but on its own mineral composition. The cobbled street descends in a gentle curve toward the shadow, anchoring the scene in the stillness of a village that has changed little in centuries.
