It is a change of register from the rest of the Girona series, which tends toward the intimacy of narrow alleys —this piece, instead, steps back and lets the architecture breathe in its full vertical span—. The chiaroscuro here does not sculpt a detail: it organizes an entire mass of stone against the sky.
