Stone steps climb between the walls of Pals, lit in sequence by lanterns that guide the way past a small ceramics workshop. The ascent feels almost ceremonial — a slow climb through history, rendered here exactly as the eye would find it after dark, without embellishment.
Photographed using only the residual glow of the village's own street lamps, with no added light, no flash, and no digital sky replacement. Every image in this series is a faithful record of Pals after dark.
