The Staircase That Climbs Toward Light

A staircase rises toward a single light fixture, and that elevated vanishing point —instead of the usual descent into shadow that dominates other pieces in the series— inverts the habitual compositional logic of the Girona collection. The eye climbs instead of descending; the destination is light, not darkness. It is a subtle but decisive variation on the series' central theme.
