Stripped of color, the façade of Girona Cathedral returns to its nature as an engraving: stone, shadow, and the date 1733 carved above the great oculus, a silent witness to three centuries of history. The black and white is not a filter but a curatorial decision—it restores to the monument the gravity with which it was conceived, while two solitary streetlamps, lit at the foot of the staircase, are enough to sketch the entire architecture. A work conceived for those who seek in photography the same permanence as in stone.
