Here the temple is shown in its full width, its architrave and the remains of the pediment cut against a night sky with not a single star visible. The white light bathing the stone contrasts with the warm glow escaping from the arcades of the stately building surrounding it — two centuries of architecture coexisting within a single frame.
This is the most complete view in the series devoted to the Temple of Diana, conceived as its visual closing statement: the entire temple, silent, held up by columns that were already standing when Rome still governed this corner of Hispania.
Fragmentos de Ciudad y Paisaje Series. Purist long-exposure night photography, captured exclusively with ambient light and moonlight, with no artificial lighting added and no digital sky replacement. Museum-quality Giclée print on 100% cotton Hahnemühle Museum Etching paper, 350 gsm, produced by GraficArtPrints. Each work is delivered with its Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity. Limited edition of five.
