The wet cobblestones function here as a dark mirror, returning a muted, golden version of every wrought-iron lamp along the passage. The arched porticoes framing the scene lend a curvature that softens the usual rigidity of Barri Vell's architecture, creating one of the most fluid, almost liquid, compositions in the entire Girona collection.
