The Wet Stones' Second Light

The wet cobblestones act here as a second light emitter: they duplicate, muted, the warm glow of the lamps, creating an accidental symmetry between sky and ground. It is an effect that only occurs under very specific conditions of ambient humidity, one the photographer cannot provoke, only wait for. Around it, Pedraza's centuries-old walls remain cold, almost absent, letting the entire visual weight of the image fall on that strip of wet stone reflecting the light.
